About the Artist
Kelly Lewis has an extensive background in art and education with a B.S.
in Art Therapy and a Masters in Education with dual certification in School Adjustment Counseling and Art Education from Springfield College in Massachusetts. When teaching art to children her biggest goal is to encourage them to express themselves through their artwork and to have fun - just like she has always done!
Today, Kelly and her husband are living out their dream of residing in New England. They live happily in an old farmhouse with their eight chickens, one rooster, two cats and their dog. They are also anxiously waiting to adopt a baby to complete their family.
From her studio in New Hampshire, Kelly spends countless hours painting and working on new ideas, or as friends and family like to say... "she is buggin out!" As the artistic force behind Bumblebug Designs, Kelly creates all of the company's designs and oversees the outstanding folks in the art department and production line. She draws inspiration from her scenic surroundings, the children in her midst and her own happy childhood.
